Overview
AirFair Gaming needed more than a traditional retail website. I developed the platform to function as a digital extension of the physical store, giving customers one place to shop inventory, discover upcoming events, register for tournaments, manage their accounts, track orders, and interact with store-specific features. The e-commerce experience was designed specifically around trading card games, with organized inventory for Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, sealed products, accessories, and individual cards. Search and filtering tools make a potentially massive inventory easier for customers to navigate. I also incorporated systems that address the day-to-day needs of a local game store, including event and tournament management, online registration, customer accounts, store credit functionality, and trade-in/buylist features. Rather than creating a simple informational website, the goal was to build a scalable platform that connects AirFair Gaming’s retail, events, customers, and community while providing the foundation for additional features as the business continues to grow.
The Challenge
AirFairGaming needed more than a traditional e-commerce website. The challenge was creating a platform that could handle a constantly changing TCG inventory while also supporting the needs of a physical game store. I needed to bring product discovery, online ordering, customer accounts, events, store credit, and community features together without making the experience feel overwhelming. The site also needed to work just as well on mobile as desktop, remain easy for staff to manage behind the scenes, and be scalable enough to support new inventory, events, and features as AirFairGaming continues to grow.
